International Women’s Day

The 1900’s recognised the start of feminist movements and the advancement of women’s rights through the suffragette movements. Since then, in 1975 the event International women’s day has been celebrated. It is a day of celebration and recognition for women in developing countries. It seeks to enable efforts for women’s rights and access to the realm of politics and economics.

Every year on the 8th March, many organisations find themselves together hosting events to display admiration and respect for the advancement of women socially, economically and politically, embracing the breakthrough of women from private to public life. The day seeks to determine that women all over the world possess equality in all aspects of their life.

8th of March is an official holiday in many countries such as Vietnam, Zambia, Georgia, Cuba, China, Armenia, Loas and Kazakhstan to name a few. The day witnesses men and children honouring all the important females in their lives such as wives, mothers and colleagues with small gifts and flowers.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY sets out to remind women to celebrate the positives that have resulted from almost a century of lobbying. Join Fabryan in celebrating womens rights, our hard work and equality.

For this reason, Fabryan has decided to give a lucky lady a luxury silk scarf from our latest collection.
